Telling Stories

Hi everyone, I'm Darbee Rhamy, the new Coordinator of Storytelling and Values Embodiment here at Hillspring Church.

Over the summer, I interned with QuadW, one of Hillspring's ministry partners that provides opportunities to serve the community and engage in cross-cultural experiences. What began as a two-month stay in the Tri-Cities turned into something much more - the Lord placed in me a deep love for this community and its people. Through many, many, many blessings, I'm still here, continuing to serve the area that has so deeply impacted me.

As the Coordinator of Storytelling and Values Embodiment, my hope is to share how Hillspring is impacting the world for good - and how you can be part of that impact. By focusing on our church's core values - Live. Love. Grow. - I want to highlight the ways God is moving through our church body to serve those around us.

The Lord is always at work. Sometimes we can't see it, or it gets hidden in the busyness of life, but He is present and active. My goal is to help us see those moments - to tell the stories that remind us of His goodness and inspire us to join in the work He is doing. My prayer is that these stories will strengthen your faith and encourage you to participate in what God is doing through Hillspring.

Now, a little about me: I grew up in northeast Ohio on a tiny farm that fostered my love for the outdoors. If I go missing, you'll probably find me outside - most likely in the mountains or near a river. It's been such a gift to live surrounded by stunning scenery (and yes, I do consider this near the mountains!). I love to run, create, and serve - and my life truly revolves around the people in it.

Blessed. That's the word that sums it all up. I am so blessed to be here, continuing the work of the Kingdom locally, nationally, and internationally. Thank you - truly - for the warm welcome, prayers, and kindness so many of you have already shared with me. I can't wait to see what God has in store for this next chapter together.
