Family Connections
I want to take a moment to share about our recent visit with our church consultant, Reggie. He not only brought so much laughter to our meetings but also provided great insight and encouragement—especially for me as a new staff member.
One of the biggest takeaways from our time with Reggie was the importance of helping families create connections outside of church. Church is more than just Sunday mornings; it’s about living life together, supporting one another, and building a strong community of faith. When families grow together in Christ beyond the church walls, both the family and the church are strengthened.
With that in mind, I’m excited to start planning events that will bring families together outside of church! I’ve planned a Movie Matinée on April 12, featuring the family-friendly film King of Kings. This will be a wonderful opportunity to gather as a church family, enjoy a great movie, and prepare our hearts for Easter. So bring your kids, grandkids, and friends—we’d love to have you join us!
As we take these steps to build deeper connections, let’s remember Jesus' words in Matthew 6:10: “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Our goal is to reflect God’s kingdom here and now by living in community, supporting one another, and sharing His love beyond Sunday mornings.
Let’s live life together! I hope to see you all on April 12.
