Consider Honduras
Honduras International Community Development
January Honduran Trip January 27 to Feb 3.
Consider joining an adult trip to Honduras from January 27 through Feb 3, 2025. We will return to Ojo de Aqua to continue our work, build chicken coops, and prepare the old school building for a new sewing center. The village has been a wonderful partner, but most likely, this will be the last group to stay in Ojo de Aqua. We are excited to finish our work with two economic projects to assist villages in self-sustaining practices in addition to farming.
The team will have an opportunity to visit the new village of Santa Rita, where the youth will start a water project in June 2025. Santa Rita has eight families living in six houses. We will start with developing a clean water project before moving into other areas. This is a smaller village than those we have worked with in the past; however, we can provide a lot of support to this small village.
Before returning to the States, the team will visit Panacam, a wonderful national park. We will have an opportunity to debrief our experience and enjoy the park's beauty. The group will be required to attend a few pre-trip meetings and read one book. If you are interested in the trip, please contact the office by November 15. The trip costs approximately $1,800, which includes airfare, meals, and hotel costs when not staying in the village.
Spring Trip Opportunity
There is a Spring trip planned for April 21-30 for those who would like to explore our Honduran ministry and imagine future possibilities. We will visit some villages, have conversations with our partner PAG around medical training, and other possibilities, as well as explore some of the rich Honduran culture. This trip is not a village work trip. While participants will visit villages, the group will not stay in the villages. The trip is designed to introduce folks to our work in Honduras and encourage individuals to imagine ways to engage in current or future ministry work.
Please consider ways that you can support and experience our ministries in Honduras.
