The Living Nativity: Continued Preparation
The Living Nativity: Continued Preparation
In the past couple of weeks, our Living Nativity team of volunteers has been working hard to prepare the set, the performance, and everyone involved.
The ramp that the performers and animals parade across is built and ready for the procession. We had such a great group come out to help put it together—it's a big project, but it goes smoothly with so many hands helping.
Last Sunday, we held our All-Volunteer Meeting where leaders shared what to expect in the coming weeks with practices, costuming, and performance nights. Performers and extras also picked out their costumes—shepherds, kings, angels, Joseph and Mary, soldiers, and everyone else who will be part of the performance all got their outfits. The excitement is definitely building as everything comes together for the Living Nativity.
Soups and cookies are another big part of the Living Nativity experience. People prepare delicious meals and treats for our performers to enjoy between sets. If you’re interested in making a soup or baking cookies for our volunteers, please reach out to the main office.
Lastly, the outdoor part of the campus is getting its final touches to be ready for the performances happening in a week!
Thank you to everyone who has come out to support in so many different ways—every contribution helps bring the Living Nativity to life.
