And we are off! Today, we kicked off the Christmas season as we began cleaning up our campus grounds for the Living Nativity. After a warm breakfast, our volunteers got straight to work—with big smiles and eager hands. The Living Nativity is one of our church’s favorite traditions, and watching our community join together to build the experience is truly energizing. Everyone is thrilled to play a part.

When asked about their favorite parts of the Nativity, volunteers mentioned:

  • Sharing the experience of the Living Nativity with the community

  • Sitting around the campfires and enjoying the warmth and conversations

  • Dressing up for their roles and stepping into the story in a memorable way

  • Continuing the tradition that is a hallmark of our church

This year’s clean-up crew included a wide range of participants—some helping for the very first time and others who have been part of the Living Nativity since the beginning—all eager to lend a hand as we prepare for the event.

THANK YOU to all the volunteers who came out to clean up and set up for the performance at the end of the month. Every step of the process is important, and this step is just the beginning.

We will have another Living Nativity Clean-Up Day on December 13th—so mark your calendars, grab your coats, and be a part of the Living Nativity.
