Up to Code

This month’s Up to Code Outreach started with a hearty breakfast and fellowship in preparation for the work ahead. We spent the afternoon trimming hedges at the home of one of our church members’ late relatives — working hard despite the chilly, cloudy weather (with only a sprinkle or two!). Up to Code is a ministry in which volunteers help members of the community who, for whatever reason, have difficulty with the upkeep of their home. Hillspring works with code enforcement and social workers all over Tri-Cities to find those in need of this type of help. Up to Code takes place every second Saturday from February through November, and new volunteers are always welcome.
