Grape Harvest

Hillspring Church partners with a non-profit organization called Water From Wine which uses wine sales to fund clean water projects all over the world. What do you need to make wine? Grapes! And to get grapes, you have to grow and pick them! That’s where Hillspring comes in. Every Fall volunteers from Hillspring gather at Sand Piper Farms and help pick grapes in the vineyard. There are two shifts with meals provided after both. It’s a time to support our partners as well as fellowship with one another. This year, harvest was held on September 28th and by the end of the day 18 tons of grapes were harvested which will amount to about $350,000 for clean water projects! There were about 70 volunteers per shift which is about 140 in all. Many of those volunteers were members of Hillspring. It’s through opportunities that we can LIVE, LOVE, and GROW to BECOME more like Christ. We are grateful to Water From Wine for the opportunity they create for us and for the work that they do. Thank you to all those who volunteered their time for this amazing cause.
