After School Matters Mock Trial

For one week the After School Matters students from Eastgate Elementary learned about how a trial works and acted out a Mock Trial with Beauty and the Beast Characters. Families of the students were invited to the mock trial on Tuesday, October 24. Twenty visitors attended! On October 26, students and volunteers traveled to the Benton County District Court by Judge Norma Rodriguez's invitation. There were 28 students, 9 student mentors and 4 adults that attended. One little girl was in tears of excitement as it was her first time on a bus! We love our Eastgate family and are blessed by the volunteers and guests who make learning opportunities like this possible!
