“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

– Dr. Seuss

Background: I was born and raised in the Tri-cities. I am the wife of a police officer and the mom of 4 amazing children. I have wanted to be a teacher since the age of 13 and I am now heading into my 5th year teaching at Sprouts. I truly believe it is the best job ever! I have also been a part of Hillspring Church most of my life.

What I like most about the Sprouts Preschool: I love being able to help children grow, both in academics and in their knowledge and love of Jesus.

Favorite Movie: The Little Mermaid

AHA! Moment: When I was just 13 years old I was volunteering in Sunday school working with 2nd graders. One boy was having a really hard time following directions. He refused to talk to any of the adults about what was going on and ended up running out of the building. I went after him. When I found him he was crying. I talked to him for a few minutes and he broke down, telling me that his parents had just decided to get a divorce and that his dad was moving out. I gave him a hug and he said he felt better. He went back in the classroom and my life was changed forever. I knew at that exact moment that my life was going to be spent helping and teaching children.

Book I would recommend: Jesus Creed by Scot McKnight
